Application Instructions

Application Note ELISA: use at 10 - 20 ug/ml (optimized for beta - lactamase on solid phase at 10 ug/ml). These are recommended concentrations. Enduser should determine optimal concentrations for their application
* The dilutions indicate recommended starting dilutions and the optimal dilutions or concentrations should be determined by the scientist.

Properties

Form Liquid
Purification Protein G-purified
Buffer PBS (pH 7.4)
Storage Instruction For continuous use, store undiluted antibody at 2-8°C for up to a week. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C or below. Storage in frost free freezers is not recommended. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. Suggest spin the vial prior to opening. The antibody solution should be gently mixed before use.
Note For laboratory research only, not for drug, diagnostic or other use.

Bioinformation

Gene Symbol LACTB
Gene Full Name lactamase, beta
Background This gene encodes a mitochondrially-localized protein that has sequence similarity to prokaryotic beta-lactamases. Many of the residues responsible for beta-lactamase activity are not conserved in this protein, suggesting it may have a different enzymatic function. Increased expression of the related mouse gene was found to be associated with obesity. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different protein isoforms.
