anti-Plexin A1 antibody

anti-Plexin A1 antibody for ELISA,ICC/IF,IHC-Frozen sections,IHC-Formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded sections,Immunoprecipitation,Western blot and Human,Mouse,Rat

Overview

Product Description Rabbit Polyclonal antibody recognizes Plexin A1
Tested Reactivity Hu, Ms, Rat
Tested Application ELISA, ICC/IF, IHC-Fr, IHC-P, IP, WB
Specificity This antibody detects a ~220 kDa protein corresponding to the apparent molecular mass of Plexin-A1 on SDS-PAGE immunoblots of neonatal rat brain and Cos-7 cells transfected with mouse Plexin-A1. In immunocytochemistry, this antibody co-localizes with anti-Myc in Cos-7 cells transfected with Myc-tagged mouse Plexin-A1.
Host Rabbit
Clonality Polyclonal
Isotype IgG
Target Name Plexin A1
Antigen Species Human
Immunogen Synthetic peptide (coupled to carrier protein) around the semaphorin domain (N-terminal half) of Human Plexin A1. This sequence is highly conserved in Rat and Mouse Plexin A1, and has low homology to other Plexin family members.
Conjugation Un-conjugated
Alternate Names Semaphorin receptor NOV; PLEXIN-A1; PLXN1; NOV; Plexin-A1; NOVP

Gene Symbol PLXNA1
Gene Full Name plexin A1
Function Coreceptor for SEMA3A, SEMA3C, SEMA3F and SEMA6D. Necessary for signaling by class 3 semaphorins and subsequent remodeling of the cytoskeleton. Plays a role in axon guidance, invasive growth and cell migration. Class 3 semaphorins bind to a complex composed of a neuropilin and a plexin. The plexin modulates the affinity of the complex for specific semaphorins, and its cytoplasmic domain is required for the activation of down-stream signaling events in the cytoplasm (By similarity). [UniProt]
Calculated MW 211 kDa

Immunofluorescence: Double labeling using ARG23771 anti-Plexin A1 antibody in COS7 cells mock transfected (A,D) or transfected with Myc-tagged Mouse Plexin-A1 construct (B,E). The specificity of the binding in E was demonstrated by using Plexin A1 peptide in the presence of primary antibodies (C,F).
