ARG65357
anti-Neisseria meningitidis antigen Orf 1 / FrpD antibody
anti-Neisseria meningitidis antigen Orf 1 / FrpD antibody for Western blot and Bacteria
Microbiology and Infectious Disease antibody
Overview
Product Description | Rabbit Polyclonal antibody recognizes Neisseria meningitidis antigen Orf 1 / FrpD |
---|---|
Tested Reactivity | Bacteria |
Tested Application | WB |
Specificity | The polyclonal antibody reacts with Orf1 (FrpD), a 28 32 kDa Neisseria meningitidis outer membrane lipoprotein. Orf1 is highly conserved in a set of meningococcal strains representative of all serogroups and does not exhibit any similarity to known sequences of other organisms. |
Host | Rabbit |
Clonality | Polyclonal |
Isotype | IgG |
Target Name | Neisseria meningitidis antigen Orf 1 / FrpD |
Immunogen | Slices containing purified FrpD250-6xHis-tagged protein were excised from 10% SDS-PAGE gels, grinded, mixed with 1 mg/ml of aluminum hydroxide in PBS, and used to immunize a rabbit. |
Conjugation | Un-conjugated |

Background | Orf1 (FrpD) is a Neisseria meningitidis outer membrane lipoprotein. Subcellular localization and [3H]palmitic acid labeling in Escherichia coli revealed that FrpD is synthesized with a type II signal peptide for export across the cytoplasmic membrane and is, upon processing to a lipoprotein, sorted to the outer bacterial membrane. |
