GeneID: 6375 Human XCL1

Swiss-port # P47992 Human Lymphotactin

Gene Symbol XCL1
Gene Full Name chemokine (C motif) ligand 1
Background This antimicrobial gene encodes a member of the chemokine superfamily. Chemokines function in inflammatory and immunological responses, inducing leukocyte migration and activation. The encoded protein is a member of the C-chemokine subfamily, retaining only two of four cysteines conserved in other chemokines, and is thought to be specifically chemotactic for T cells. This gene and a closely related family member are located on the long arm of chromosome 1. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2014]
Function Chemotactic activity for lymphocytes but not for monocytes or neutrophils. [UniProt]
Calculated MW 13 kDa

  • ARG66006 anti-Lymphotactin antibody IHC-P image

Immunohistochemistry: Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded sections of Human normal kidney. The recommended ARG66006 anti-Lymphotactin antibody concentration is 0.5 µg/ml with an overnight incubation at 4°C. An HRP-labeled polymer detection system was used with a DAB chromogen. Antigen Retrieval: Boil tissue section in Sodium Citrate buffer (pH 6.0) followed by cooling at RT for 20 min.
