anti-Complement C7 antibody [030-113.7.5.4]

anti-Complement C7 antibody [030-113.7.5.4] for ELISA,Functional study,Western blot and Human

Overview

Product Description Mouse Monoclonal antibody [030-113.7.5.4] recognizes Complement C7.
Mouse anti Human C7 antibody, clone 030-113.7.5.4 recognizes complement component 7 (C7), a 110 kDa glycoprotein present in the blood serum. The factor I domain of C7 binds the C terminus of the C5 alpha-chain, acting as a membrane anchor. This enables the assembly of the complement membrane attack complex (MAC) and consequent complement lytic activity. C7 deficiency is associated with increased susceptibility to recurrent infections, in particular by Neisseria meningitides. Mouse anti Human C7 antibody, clone 030-113.7.5.4 does not recognie membrane bound complement membrane attack complex. Mouse anti Human C7 antibody, clone 030-113.7.5.4 inhibits lysis of sensitised sheep erythrocytes.Removal of Sodium Azide is recommended prior to use in functional assays.

GeneID: 730 Human C7

Swiss-port # P10643 Human Complement component C7

Gene Symbol C7
Gene Full Name complement component 7
Background C7 is a component of the complement system. It participates in the formation of Membrane Attack Complex (MAC). People with C7 deficiency are prone to bacterial infection. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Function Constituent of the membrane attack complex (MAC) that plays a key role in the innate and adaptive immune response by forming pores in the plasma membrane of target cells. C7 serves as a membrane anchor. [UniProt]
Calculated MW 94 kDa
PTM C7 has 28 disulfide bridges.

C-, N- and O-glycosylated. O-glycosylated with core 1 or possibly core 8 glycans. [UniProt]
