Tested Application SDS-PAGE
Target Name IL19
Species Mouse
A.A. Sequence Leu25 - Ala176
Expression System E. coli
Activity Active
Activity Note Determined by its ability to induce proliferation in BaF3 cells transfected with human IL-20 R alpha and human IL-20 R beta. The ED50 for this effect is <0.6 ng/mL.
Alternate Names Interleukin-19; IL-10C; ZMDA1; IL-19; MDA1; NG.1; Melanoma differentiation-associated protein-like protein

Properties

Form Powder
Purification Note Endotoxin level is <0.1 EU/µg of the protein, as determined by the LAL test.
Purity >98% (by SDS-PAGE)
Buffer PBS (pH 7.4)
Reconstitution It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized protein in sterile water to a concentration not <200 μg/mL and incubate the stock solution for at least 20 min at room temperature to make sure the protein is dissolved completely.
Storage Instruction For long term, lyophilized protein should be stored at -20°C or -80°C. After reconstitution, aliquot and store at -20°C or -80°C for up to one month. Storage in frost free freezers is not recommended. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. Suggest spin the vial prior to opening.
Note For laboratory research only, not for drug, diagnostic or other use.

Bioinformation

Gene Symbol IL19
Gene Full Name interleukin 19
Background The protein encoded by this gene is a cytokine that belongs to the IL10 cytokine subfamily. This cytokine is found to be preferentially expressed in monocytes. It can bind the IL20 receptor complex and lead to the activation of the signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (STAT3). A similar cytokine in mouse is reported to up-regulate the expression of IL6 and TNF-alpha and induce apoptosis, which suggests a role of this cytokine in inflammatory responses. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding the distinct isoforms have been described. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Function May play some important roles in inflammatory responses. Up-regulates IL-6 and TNF-alpha and induces apoptosis (By similarity). [UniProt]
Cellular Localization Secreted. [UniProt]
