Total solutions for Neutrophil research

Total solutions for Neutrophil research

Neutrophils are the hallmark of acute inflammation. They are the first leukocytes recruited to the sites of injury/infection for destroying invading microbes through phagocytosis, degranulation, and NETosis (the formation of neutrophil extracellular traps). The neutrophil antimicrobial products from degranulation and NETosis also damage host tissues. Hence the neutrophils will be removed by macrophages once the pathogens are cleaned. The neutrophil dysfunction is associated with various inflammatory disorders, such as atherosclerosis, autoimmunity, asthma, septic shock, and tumor progression. arigo offers total solutions for visualization, detection, and quantification of neutrophils and their activities in multiple biological samples.

Visualization of neutrophils in tissues

• Neutrophil markers

MPO antibody [SP72] (ARG53344)

Neutrophil Elastase antibody (ARG40838)

• Neutrophil in inflammation

Neutrophils are early inflammatory cells. An increase of neutrophils is a critical indicator of acute inflammation. arigo’s inflammatory cell antibody panels comprise the inflammatory cell markers including a neutrophil marker.

• Antibody duos for neutrophil

MDSCs share the same markers with neutrophils. arigo’s MDSC antibody duos can be applied for labeling neutrophils in tissues.

Quantification of neutrophil degranulation

Neutrophils contain several subsets of granules in which store antimicrobial cytotoxic. Once activated, neutrophils release these granules to destroy the pathogens (a process called degranulation). Excessive neutrophil degranulation results to tissue damage and is a feature of many inflammatory disorders including severe asthma, COPD, rheumatoid arthritis. arigo offers quality ELISA kits for the quantification of neutrophil degranulation to facilitate the research and therapeutic development of neutrophil-associated inflammatory diseases.

NETosis and autoimmune diseases

NETosis is the process of releasing neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs) which are composed of DNA, histones, and granule proteins. While NETs are benefit for host defense, persistent NETs act as autoantigens for autoantibody production. NETs have been implicated in thrombosis as well as autoimmune diseases including systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), rheumatoid arthritis, diabetes, and cardiovascular problems. arigo offers quality NETosis marker antibodies and ELISA kits for the detection of autoantibodies against NET components.
