Disulfidptosis markers
Disulfidptosis markers
Disulfidptosis is a new type of programmed cell death found in high xCT-expressing cells. xCT (also known as SLC7A11) imports cystine into cytoplasm where cystine is reduced to cysteine by consuming NADPH that is produced from glucose. High xCT expression in combination with glucose deprivation results in cystine accumulation and disulfide stress, leading to deadly F-actin collapse. This type of cell death is termed as disulfidptosis by Liu et al.
xCT-overexpression is found in various cancer cells and plays a critical role in promoting ferroptosis resistance. The discovery of disulfidptosis suggests a potential therapeutic strategy against xCT-overexpressing cancer cells. arigo offers quality antibodies and assay kit to facilitate the detection of disulfidptosis. They are the best solutions for studying the mechanism and regulation of this new type of cell death.
